Joining a Campaign from an Invite Link

Use an invite link when a Game Master shares a RollQuest campaign invitation with you directly through chat, a messaging app, or another communication channel.

  1. Receive the Invite Link

Your Game Master can generate and copy a campaign invite link from RollQuest. Once they share the link with you, open it in your browser.

The invite link is used to connect your RollQuest account to the campaign. Depending on whether you are already signed in, RollQuest will either take you directly to your dashboard or ask you to sign in first.

  1. Open the Invite Link

Click the invite link, or copy and paste it into your browser address bar.

If you are already signed in to RollQuest, the link opens RollQuest and takes you directly to your dashboard. The invited campaign should appear in the Your Games section.

If you are not signed in, RollQuest opens the login page first. You need to sign in before you can access the invited campaign.

  1. Sign In or Create an Account

If RollQuest opens the login page, sign in using your preferred login method.

You can sign in with your email and password, Google account, or Discord account.

If you do not have a RollQuest account yet, create one first. After creating your account, open the invite link again if the campaign does not appear automatically.

  1. Review the Campaign on Your Dashboard

After opening the invite link successfully, RollQuest takes you to your dashboard.

The invited campaign appears in the Your Games section. The campaign card may show the game name, description, player avatars, number of users in the game, and how many users are currently online.

The dashboard may also show your current plan details on the right side of the screen, including your player limit, storage usage, campaign usage, and available account limits.

  1. Open the Campaign

In the Your Games section, find the campaign you were invited to. Click Join Game to open the campaign. RollQuest then takes you into the game table, where you can join the session with the Game Master and other players.

Click the Play button to start participating in the game.

  1. Check That You Joined the Correct Campaign

After joining, confirm that the campaign name matches the game your Game Master invited you to. If the campaign does not look correct, contact the Game Master before continuing.

Troubleshooting

The invite link opens the login page

This is expected if you are not already signed in. Sign in or create an account, then open the invite link again if needed.

I cannot see the campaign on my dashboard

Refresh the dashboard and check the Your Games section again. If the campaign still does not appear, open the invite link one more time while signed in.

The invite link may have expired, been replaced, or copied incorrectly. Ask the Game Master to generate a new invite link and send it again.

I joined the wrong campaign

Contact the Game Master and confirm that they shared the correct invite link.
