Plan and billing

Upgrade, switch between Starter and Pro, or cancel from the plan card on your profile. Payments, invoices and your card are handled by Stripe.

See your plan

Open your profile: the card at the top shows your plan, how much storage you've used, and how many games, character sheets and decks you have. On Free it has Upgrade Plan; on a paid plan, Manage Subscription.

Your Plan in the account menu opens the same choices: the plans on Free, or Subscription Information (your Plan, Billing and Status, including the renewal date) on a paid plan.

Upgrade from Free

  1. Click Upgrade Plan on your profile's plan card (or Your Plan in the account menu). The Choose Your Plan window opens.
  2. Choose Monthly or Yearly (yearly saves 20%).
  3. Click Choose Starter or Choose Pro, and pay on the Stripe checkout page.

Switch between Starter and Pro

In Choose Your Plan, click Choose Pro or Downgrade to Starter. The change is immediate, and Stripe works out the difference for the rest of the period straight away.

Manage payment, invoices or cancel

Click Manage Subscription on your profile's plan card (or in Subscription Information). It opens Stripe, where you can change your card, see your invoices and cancel. Downgrade to Free opens the same page to cancel.

When you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you've paid for, then your account moves to Free.

If your plan was given to you by RollQuest rather than paid for, there's nothing to manage in Stripe: contact us to change it.

What happens when you move to a smaller plan

Nothing is deleted.

  • Games: you keep every game you have. You can't create a new one until you're under the new plan's limit.
  • Storage: new uploads are refused while you're over the new limit.
  • Paid tools you already used, such as playlists, hex grids and board layers, stay in your games and keep working at the table, but you can't edit them.
  • The campaign journal is the exception: it needs Starter or Pro on your own account even to read it.
