NPCs
NPCs are the other people in your world: the innkeeper, the guard captain, a rival adventurer. They work like enemies, but have their own purple colour and their own group when you set up a battle.
Add an NPC
- Open the menu (three lines, top left) and click NPCs, then Add NPC. The Add New NPC window opens.
- Type an NPC Name.
- Click Create NPC.
The NPC appears in the middle of your view, and players can see it. To put it somewhere else, drag it on the board, or drag its portrait from the NPCs list onto the map.
Hide an NPC
Right-click it and choose Hide Token. Players can't see it until you choose Show Token.
Edit, copy or delete
Each NPC's menu in the list has Edit NPC, Clone NPC and Delete NPC. There's no NPC library: to reuse an NPC, clone it, or give it a stat block from the creature library. See Enemies and the creature library.
In a battle
NPCs have their own group in Battle Setup, so you can bring the friendly guard into the fight, or leave the bystanders out. See Start a battle.
