Add player characters
Each player moves one character token. Add the characters, give them faces, and assign each one to the player who plays it.
Add a character
Open the menu (three lines, top left) and click Characters, then + Add. The Add New Player window opens.
Type a Player Name (the character's name) and pick a Colour for the token and dice.
Click Create.
Characters, + Add, a name, then Create. The new character joins the list.
The token appears in the middle of your view. Drag it where you want it.
Give it a portrait
- Right-click the token and choose Edit Character, or use the ⋯ menu on its row in Characters and choose Edit character.
- Click the portrait to choose an image. Upload cover image adds a banner behind it.
- Click Save Changes.
Hand it to a player
In Edit Character, open the Access tab.
Under Assigned player, choose the player. Only players who have joined or been invited are listed.
Edit character, then the Access tab, where Assigned player lives. Click Save Changes.
Now only that player (and you) can move it. One player can be assigned one character. Until then the Characters panel shows No user assigned beside it.
If you invited the player with Ask them to build a character, the character they build takes the first unassigned player token by itself.
Size, colour and what's shown on the board
In Edit Character:
- Token tab: Token size from 20 to 500 pixels, the Snap to grid anchor, and Token & dice color.
- Status tab: On the board chooses who sees the name, hit points, temporary hit points and armour class on the token: you, the player, and the other players, each separately. They start switched off.
- Vision tab: how far the character sees in each light. See Lighting.
Take a token off the board, or delete it
- Off the board only: select the token and press Delete, or right-click it and choose Remove from Map. The character is kept; drag its portrait from the Characters panel back onto the map when you need it.
- Delete for good: in Characters, use the ⋯ menu and Delete character. This also removes its character sheet.
