Shortcut Bar

The Shortcut Bar holds up to 24 things you use a lot: your character's attacks and spells, sounds, music and pictures. Click a slot, or press a key, to use it.

Open the bar

Click Shortcut Bar at the bottom of the board. The Quick Actions panel shows how many of the 24 slots you've filled.

Fill a slot

  1. Click an empty slot. Assign to Shortcut Bar Slot opens.
  2. Pick from Character Actions, Sound Effects, Background Music or Image Assets.

Players see their own character's actions, and only the sounds, music and pictures their Game Master (GM) has shared with Allow player shortcut.

The bar is yours alone, and it's saved for each game.

Put Fire Bolt in slot 1, then click it and choose Attack. The roll lands on the board.

Use a slot

  • Click it. An action with one roll fires straight away. Otherwise pick the roll: to hit, then damage.
  • Or press a key: Ctrl (Windows) or Cmd (Mac) with 1 to 9, 0, - and = fire slots 1 to 12, even with the bar closed.

A spell from the bar spends a slot at its own level: to cast it higher, cast from the sheet. A sound or music track from the bar plays only for you, not for the table.

Rearrange or clear slots

Click Edit on the bar. Drag a slot onto another to swap them, or remove one.

If you change a spell or weapon on your sheet, put it on the bar again: the bar keeps the version from when you added it.

Turn the bar off for players (GM)

In Game Settings > Players, turn off Shortcut Bar. See Game settings.
