On Starter and Pro, damage rolls flash in the colour of their damage type: fire burns orange, frost glitters, lightning crackles.

For: Game Masters and players · Plan: Starter · 1 minute · What it's for: 3D dice

A damage type is the kind of harm a roll does, such as fire, cold or slashing; a spell or weapon says which. The flash makes a big moment easy to read: when the wizard's fireball lands, everyone sees the dice burn. It only changes how the dice look, never the result.

Plan: dice effects are on Starter and Pro, and each person's own plan decides whether they see them.

Damage flashes

Roll damage with a type, from the dice tray, a sheet or chat (/roll 8d6 fire), and the dice flash to match: fire, frost, lightning, thunder, acid and poison, necrotic, psychic, radiant and slashing.

Cold damage shows as frost (in chat, cold, frost and ice all work). Piercing damage uses the slashing flash, and bludgeoning the thunder one.

It happens by itself. Each person sees the flashes if their own plan includes dice effects, so a player on Free doesn't see them even when a Starter player rolls.

Secret rolls never flash, so they give nothing away.

Tables

A rollable table, a list of results you roll on such as random encounters, can have its own Dice effect too.
