The board is slow
If the board stutters, the dice lag or the whole tab feels heavy, try these, one at a time.
Turn the 3D extras down
Open your profile:
- Untick 3D dice on desktop (or 3D dice on mobile). You still see every result, without the animation.
- Under Spell effects, turn off Screen shake, or Show spell effects altogether.
These only change your own screen, on the device you're using.
Lighten the map (GM)
- Animated maps (video backgrounds) are the heaviest thing on the board. Use a still version, or a smaller file, if players are struggling.
- Very large maps take longer to load and move around. A smaller file often looks just as good at table zoom.
- Lots of lights with long reach add work every time a token moves. Keep lights to the ones the scene needs.
Help the browser
- Close other heavy tabs.
- In Chrome or Edge settings, make sure graphics acceleration is turned on (Use graphics acceleration when available).
- Keep the browser up to date.
