Shoving is one of the three uses of an Unarmed Strike, alongside dealing damage and grappling.
Shove. The target must succeed on a Strength or Dexterity saving throw (it chooses which), or you either push it 5 feet away or cause it to have the Prone condition. The DC for the saving throw equals 8 plus your Strength modifier and Proficiency Bonus. This shove is possible only if the target is no more than one size larger than you.
Prone. While a creature has the Prone condition, its only movement options are to crawl or to spend an amount of movement equal to half its Speed (round down) to right itself and thereby end the condition. If its Speed is 0, it can’t right itself. It has Disadvantage on attack rolls, an attack roll against it has Advantage if the attacker is within 5 feet of it, and otherwise that attack roll has Disadvantage.
RollQuest ships the D&D 2024 SRD as a content pack, on a 5e character sheet that does the maths - roll from the sheet and let the numbers work themselves out. Free to start.
