Bring your game to RollQuest
We're looking for game system owners, publishers and creators to partner with. RollQuest is a browser-based virtual tabletop with D&D 5e and 5.5e built in, and the tools to carry other systems, campaigns and art. Tell us what you make and we'll work out how it fits.
Game system owners: we want your system
RollQuest ships with two rules packs, 5e (2014) and 5.5e (2024). The GM picks one when they create a game, and the character sheets, conditions and combat follow it. More packs are on the roadmap, and we would rather build the next ones with the people who own the systems than guess at them.
A system on RollQuest means:
- A rules pack GMs choose at game creation, alongside 5e and 5.5e.
- Character sheets that do the maths. Derived values are derived, not typed in, and clickable rolls go to the 3D dice and the chat log.
- Your compendium as real content. Spells, items, statblocks and tables in the same shape as the built-in content, so they land on sheets and roll their own dice.
- Your name on it. The pack is credited to you, and your system stays yours.
One book or a whole line, print or PDF, in beta or long out of print: if you own a system and want it playable online, we would like to talk.
Publishers and adventure writers
A content pack is a whole campaign packaged up: maps, scenes, tokens, NPCs, journal pages and handouts, with the walls drawn and the lighting set. A GM loads it into a new game and has a session tonight. Every plan can load one.
If you publish adventures, a content pack is the version people can run rather than read. We can help you build the first one, and we can talk about how your catalogue reaches GMs on the marketplace.
Map and token artists
The map builder runs on asset packs: floors, walls, doors, furniture, terrain and props, built to snap to the grid and to each other. Battle maps and token packs have a home on the board itself.
RollQuest already features free, non-paywalled assets from independent creators, credited in the app with a link back to them. The creator credits page explains how that works. If you have a pack you would like to see in the map builder or on the marketplace, tell us.
Streamers, podcasters and communities
If you run a show or a community and want to play on RollQuest, we would like to hear from you too. Tell us about your table, your audience and what would make it work for you.
Works with what is already built
Game systems and templates is where a GM picks a rules pack, and where a finished campaign becomes a template other tables can start from.
Sheet designer builds the character sheet a system needs, with the calculations that keep it adding up.
Content packs carry a system's spells, items and statblocks, validated before they ship and forkable by other GMs.
Marketplace is where content packs and asset packs are published, found and installed.
What to put in your email
- What you make: a system, adventures, maps, tokens, a show.
- Where it lives today: your own site, DriveThruRPG, itch.io, Patreon, Kickstarter.
- Links to anything we can read, play or watch.
- What you would want from a partnership.
Keep it short. We will come back with questions.
Frequently asked questions
Which systems are you looking for?
Any. The board, dice, fog of war, lighting and audio already work for every system. A rules pack adds the sheet maths and the combat automation, and that is what we would build with you.
Who owns the content?
You do. Your system, your adventures and your art stay yours, and the terms are agreed before anything ships.
How do pricing and revenue work?
The marketplace model is still being finalised, so it is part of the conversation rather than a fixed offer. Tell us what would work for you.
Can I publish without a partnership?
Yes. Any Pro account can author content packs and publish up to 20 on the marketplace. A partnership is for anything bigger than that: a whole system, a line of adventures or a catalogue of assets.
Do I need to know RollQuest first?
No. Create a free game, load a content pack and see how a campaign arrives. We will show you the rest.
