Rules packs, templates and campaigns you can run tonight
FreeRollQuest comes with the D&D rules built in: the 2014 edition (5e, on the SRD 5.1) and the 2024 edition (5.5e, on the SRD 5.2.1). Pick one when you create a game and the character sheets, conditions and combat follow it. Then either build your world or load one somebody else built.

5e and 5.5e, both supported
A lot of tables are half-and-half right now: some players on the 2014 books, some on 2024. RollQuest treats them as two rules packs. The GM chooses one per game. Sheets built for one pack can be brought into any game that uses the same pack.
The board itself (map, tokens, fog, lighting, dice, audio) works for any system. Rules packs add the sheet maths and the combat automation on top. More packs are on the roadmap.
Templates: build once, run again
Any campaign can be saved as a template. Scenes, tokens, NPCs, sheets, lighting, walls, doors, journal pages, decks: all of it. When you next create a game, pick the template and start with the world already built.
GMs use this for one-shots they run at conventions, for a home setting they reuse across groups, and for "the same dungeon, three different parties."

Content packs: full campaigns from the marketplace
A content pack is a whole campaign packaged up: maps, scenes, tokens, NPCs, journal entries and handouts. Pick one up on the marketplace, load it into a game, and you have a session tonight. Every plan can use content packs.
On Pro, you can also make them. Package up your own campaign and publish it on the marketplace, up to 20 packs per account. If you've written an adventure people keep asking for, this is how you ship it.

Map asset packs
The marketplace also carries map asset packs: tile and prop sets for the Map Builder. Dungeon, tavern, forest, ship. Built to fit the grid and each other.

Frequently asked questions
Does RollQuest support the 2024 D&D rules?
Yes. There are two rules packs: 5e (2014), built on the SRD 5.1, and 5.5e (2024), built on the SRD 5.2.1.
Can I run a system that isn't D&D?
Yes, using the board, dice, fog, lighting and audio. Sheet automation is only available for the packs RollQuest ships. Custom sheet templates on Starter and Pro cover a lot of homebrew.
Are templates free?
Yes. Saving and loading your own templates works on every plan, within your plan's game limit.
Do I need Pro to use a content pack?
No. Any plan can load a content pack from the marketplace. Pro is needed to create and publish them.
How is the SRD content licensed?
Both SRDs are published by Wizards of the Coast under open licences; the SRD 5.2.1 is under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0. RollQuest includes the required attribution in the app and in the site footer.
