A door is a wall that opens. Closed, it blocks sight and light like any wall; open, the room beyond is revealed. Players can open doors too, unless you lock them or keep them secret.

Add a door

  1. Hover over the Mode menu and choose Doors.

  2. Click either side of the gap you left in a wall.

  3. Press Cmd+D (Mac) or Ctrl+D (Windows) to finish, or click an existing corner. Esc cancels a door you haven't finished.

Two clicks across the gap, then Cmd+D. A door icon appears in the middle.

You can also right-click a wall and choose Add door here, which cuts a door one square wide, or Convert to door.

Open and close a door

In Play mode, click the door icon. It opens, and fog clears through it for anyone who can now see in. Click again to close it.

Click the door icon to open it, and again to close it.

Players can open and close any door they can see that isn't locked or secret.

Lock, hide or give a door sounds

Right-click the door icon:

The door's right-click menu.
  • Lock Door: no one can open or close it, you included, until you Unlock Door. It shows a padlock.
  • Make Secret Door: players can't see it or use it, and it always blocks sight and movement. You see it in purple. Remove Secret turns it back into a normal door.
  • Edit Door Sounds: choose an Opening Sound and a Closing Sound from your Sound Library. They play for everyone, in sync, when the door moves. Click Save Changes.
  • Delete Door.

Plan: door sounds come from the Sound Library, which is on Starter and Pro.

Clear all doors

In the Doors settings, click Clear All Doors. There is no confirmation.
